It’s no wonder that Kellan and David met at a lifeguard party. Just look at the handsome groom! His boss was married to her boss, bringing these two together to celebrate, and here we are… their own gorgeous wedding at The Crosby at Rancho Santa Fe.
The property itself is stunning in location, and this beautiful couple kept their wedding timeless in design and traditional in nature. Lush white blooms made up the bouquets and tabletop décor with lovely floating candles for ambiance and a fabulous BLOOMING cake that was almost too pretty to eat.
His proposal had taken place in their home, shortly after they bought they house together. Kellan recalls cooking dinner when David came in with their golden retriever Hansel and asked, “Do you think your Mom would want to spend the rest of her life with me?” She turned around and there he was, on one knee.
“It was exactly who we are.”
The wedding day was just every bit as romantic and ever so emotional as they read their vows to one another. It was tender and bittersweet, as this young couple had lost a family member that very morning. While David read his vows, he had a hard time finding his voice, as they both were feeling the loss. He looked up at his bride and they shared in a smile. He continued to read his words of love to the woman standing there beside him, bringing everyone, including her to tears.
Kellan will never forget that moment. She not only married the love of her life, but her very best friend.
